Santa Cruz wedding photographer | Santa Cruz Boardwalk | Cocoanut Grove | Jeanny and Phil

Jeanny, Phil and I go waaaay back. They were the first couple I had ever done a shoot for years ago, back when I barely picked up my first dSLR and didn’t know the difference Auto and Program modes on my camera. (You can read the rest of the story here.) So as you can imagine, it is quite awesome to be able to actually shoot their wedding! Not only are they already a fun couple to work with, but the wedding was on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (sweet!), the videographers were the amazing Still Motion from Canada (real quality guys), and I had my best friend Steve shooting with me (woot)!

Venue: Cocoanut Grove, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
Videography: Still Motion (one of THE best in the industry)
Makeup/hair: Parveen Dosanjh
Cake: Allyson Holden

The ceremony and reception took place at the Cocoanut Grove.

The reception entertainment featured a lineup of performances by their friends. It’s great to know so many musicians. 🙂

After the reception, we headed out to the Boardawalk for some fun pictures!

A kind couple allowed us to borrow their vintage bicycles for some pictures. And by “borrow”, I mean good ol’ Konrad walked up to them and demanded the use of their rental bikes while the rest of us cringed in the background.

The sun was setting right as we finished the shoot. It was the perfect end to a perfect day. 🙂
